Kansas Dutch Rabbit Club invites you to a special National Dutch Show that can only happen in Hutchinson. We’re pleased to partner with the Comosphere Space Museum to provide a unique banquet experience. Just a few blocks from the showroom, sits the largest private collection of space artifacts and the setting for this year’s National Dutch Show Banquet. All NDS Attendees and their families are invited to the Hall of Space Museum free of charge.
Hutchinson
Hutchinson is located in South Central Kansas and can be easily reached from all directions via, K-61, K-96 or US-50.
Locations
The fairgrounds entrance is at Poplar and 20th Ave, accessible via 17th Street from blocked hotels.
The Rabbit Barn is to the east of the entrance with parking on both sides of the building.
The banquet will be in the Fee Family Classroom on the 2nd floor of Cosmosphere at 11th and Plum. Park in lot south of 11th, then cross street to main entrance. Go through main lobby, past ticket booth to elevators/stairs and up to 2nd floor.

Banquet
Our banquet will once again be held at the Cosmosphere, a world-renowned space museum. All NDS attendees are entitled to free entry to the museum on Saturday, just tell the ticket booth you are with the rabbit group. While most breeders will spend their day at the show, the opportunity will be there for you – or any non-rabbit travel companions who are ready to think about something besides Dutch rabbits! The Cosmosphere will also be open to paying visitors on Friday, should you get in early.
Banquet Tickets:
- $25 (ages 13 & over)
- $10 (ages 5-12)
- free (ages 4 and under)
Banquet tickets much be purchased through Easy2Show by Entry deadline, even if you are not showing rabbits.
All banquet attendees needs a ticket, even 4 year olds. The number of chairs, plates, glasses, etc are determined by the number of tickets – there may not be extras available.
Arts & Crafts Contest
1) Entries will be accepted from 10am-8pm Friday, April 26.
2) All craft entries must have a Dutch rabbit prominently featured on the craft item.
3) Entry fee of $3/ item due on Friday, April 26 with acceptance of item for exhibition
4) The Kansas State Dutch Club will not be held responsible for any sales or stolen items. Items are entered at the exhibitor’s risk although every effort will be made to prevent theft or damage.
5) No more than 3 items in any one category may be exhibited by the same individual. For example, 1 knit bunny, 1 crochet scarf, and 1 embroidered apron would be 3 items in the same category for the same individual.
6) Open exhibitors shall be 19 and older as of April 26, 2024. Youth exhibitor shall be 18 and younger as of April 26, 2024.
7) Awards shall be given as follows: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category, 1 grand champion, and 1 reserve champion
Categories for both open and youth:
1) Needlework- knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch, etc.
2) Sewing and Quilting
3) Painting- glass, wood, canvas, etc.
4) Other- ceramics, woodwork, 3-D printing, perler beads, etc.
5) Photography
6) Paper crafts- cards, origami, quilling, etc.
Youth Contests
ADRC Royalty, Showmanship and Judge Contests will occur Friday, April 27 at 3pm. See Youth Page for More Information.
